For my Bat Mitzvah project, I am raising funds to support The Catch A Lift Fund (CAL), a Maryland based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps combat injured veterans recover, rehabilitate, and regain purpose through CAL’s four core pillars: Nutrition, Fitness, Emotional Wellness and Community. CAL was founded in 2010 in honor of Baltimore native Cpl. Christopher Coffland, U.S. Army, killed in action, Nov. 13, 2009, Afghanistan.

On Sunday, April 10th at noon, I am hosting a fitness fundraiser - the Coffland Hero Challenge at Towson Fitness (and virtually) to raise funds for CAL’s mission and the veterans it supports. Signing up is easy, and participants who donate at least $40 receive a CAL T-shirt or tank.  Registration without a shirt is a donation of only $25, and donations of any amount are welcomed and encouraged for non-participants interested in supporting a great cause. We'll be running the Coffland Hero WOD: 

• a six minute cumulative hang from a rig or pull up bar, but with each drop,
• row 1K meters or bike 1K meters and
• complete 30 push ups  

Virtual, adaptive, modified, scaled and partner versions of the workout will be provided - there's a version to fit everyone!
